Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the services provided by North Byte IT (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Covered

These Terms apply to all services provided by North Byte IT, including:

  • On-site IT support
  • Remote technical support
  • System setup and configuration
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • IT consulting services

2. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion for small tasks.
  • Larger projects require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remainder due upon completion.
  • All payments must be made in USD unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds once services have been rendered. If there is a service issue caused by us, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it at no additional cost.

4. Service Agreements

Business clients may be required to sign a Service Agreement. Monthly retainers may include a 30-day minimum term.

5. Remote Access & Liability

Clients may authorize secure remote access to their devices. Sensitive data (such as credentials) is handled with care. North Byte IT is not liable for data loss unless a backup service is explicitly agreed upon in writing.

6. Data Responsibility

Clients are responsible for backing up their data. We do not currently offer backup services by default.

7. Scheduling & Missed Appointments

Appointments must be scheduled via email or our website contact form. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed appointments will need to be rescheduled based on our availability but will not incur a fee.

8. Ownership of Deliverables

Clients retain full ownership of completed deliverables (e.g., websites, documents, or code) unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

9. Hosting & Development

We do not host websites directly. We assist in setting up websites on third-party platforms like GitHub Pages, WordPress, or a client’s preferred host.

10. Communication & Support

Support is provided via email during standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM – 6 PM CST). Emergency services may be available for an additional fee.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify clients of significant changes via email or on our website.
